Ms. Anderson has been a Certified Surgical Technologist over 15 years and has a degree in Surgical First Assisting and Healthcare Administration.  She obtained the Fellow of the Association of Surgical Technologist (FAST) award in 2022.  This is the highest distinction in the Surgical Technology field.  Her experience comes from Level I Trauma centers to Ambulatory Surgery Centers. April entered higher education in 2009 and has stood strongly in various positions from Clinical Coordinator to Program Director. Her drive and determination to see students master the skills taught in both the classroom and lab are further pushed when she witnesses firsthand those skills in practice by students in the operating room.  Her passion for the field and educating program officials in the best avenue of educational excellence is second to none.  This passion shows in the relationships developed with students and administrators at various clinical facilities.  Her personality draws people and the excitement April has for the profession is evident.  April's expertise in the planning, organizing, and execution of surgical technology programs cannot be compared to any other.  She has a unique ability to critique areas of surgical technology programs for improvement.  April also has a smooth layout plan to initiate the start up of a new program through the accreditation process. Utilizing her vast services will yield the results desired.
